whatreallymatters

It is with a heavy heart that I write this week's TMC Blog. As a BUSINESS- each week brings a laundry list of plans and projects that need to be completed. This week, I want to use our Blog space to encourage our team, our merchants and our vendors to focus on What Really Matters. For those of you who have been following the AT/RT Cancer struggle of Miss Phoebe Fair (Zig Ziglar's Great Grandaughter)- you should know that she lost her struggle over the weekend; Phoebe was just 4 years old. You can read about her journey by visitng AN ATYPICAL MIRACLE. Her parents provided an incredibly honest, brave and heartfelt accounting of their journey, in their blog.

  • People matter in our chaotic world! Above & beyond our TO DO lists, we need to remember that people are behind every request and personalizing our approach can make all the difference.
  • People matter in our chaotic world! We never know what trials and tribulations the people we encounter each day- are dealing with. That surface contact or basic service request may be much more important that we ever imagined.
  • People matter in our chaotic world! We are not promised tomorrow so we only have today to touch those people that cross our paths- are we looking for ways to add that special human touch and do we remember that what we say and do really can have a positive impact?
  • People matter in our chatoic world! Being in business requires that we sell and provide the services we believe in. When we keep the PEOPLE as the most important part of the process- we truly are focused on What Really Matters.

It seems to me that focusing on PEOPLE and the fact that Life Is Short- is a great way to pay tribute to the many life lessons shared by Sweet Phoebe during her short time here with us.

Enjoy your week and please consider taking the time to identify the truly important things that may not have made your 'ToDo' list.
