Like any plant, growth of the Chinese Bamboo tree requires nurturing - water, fertile soil, sunshine.

In its first year, there are no visible signs of activity.

In the second year, again, no growth above the soil.

The third, the fourth, still nothing.

The gardener's patience is tested and he begins to wonder if his efforts (caring, water, etc.) will ever be rewarded.

And finally in the fifth year - behold, a miracle! The Chinese Bamboo experience growth, above the ground and what growth it is! 80 feet in just six weeks!

Just like a gifted gardener, business owners tend to their businesses.  Progress can often be slow. It can be frustrating and unrewarding at times.  In fact, each time we add new products, new services or new staff members- the cycle repeats! Growing our business portfolios, our partnerships and our staff's potential can be a bit like caring for a Chinese Bamboo tree! It is never easy.   But it is sooooo worth it....especially if we can be patient and persistent.

As we head into spring, remember the lesson of the Chinese Bamboo and get ready to celebrate!  With proper care and attention- your 'five year' growth spurt is sure to be just around the corner.
